Autumn events in Japan
Autumn is a particular season in Japan when it comes to cultural events. It is the season when temperatures aren’t either too hot or too cold, making it an ideal time to hold outdoor events. Many events have to do with national holidays, such as Supo-tsu no Hi (スポーツの日) or “Sports Day,” which commemorates the Tokyo Olympics of 1964, and Bunka no Hi (文化の日) or “Culture Day,” which promotes culture and the arts.
There are also various events related to maple leaves turning red. The Kansai area is trendy because there are many places to visit and enjoy the beautiful colors displayed by these trees. Many places also have night illuminations to enhance this experience.
