Pokemon Fossil Exhibition to be Held across Japan including Tokyo, Hokkaido and Aichi

The special exhibition Pokemon Fossil Museum will be held at several cities in Japan including Tokyo, Hokkaido, Aichi, Shimane and more. The exhibition will take place first in Mikasa City, Hokkaido from 4 July to 20 September 2021, then tour across the country for the following years.
With the theme of “Paleontology and Pokemon”, the Pokemon Fossil Museum gives visitors a great opportunity to learn paleontology with an enjoyable way. Through comparisons and observations, you can discover the differences and common points between “Keseki” and “Kaseki Pokemon” from Pokemon series and “fossils” and “Paleolife” in the real world.
The exhibition teams up with multiple museums such as National Museum of Nature and Science Tokyo, Mikasa City Museum, Gunma Museum of Natural History, Toyohashi Museum of Natural History and Shimane Prefectural Sanbe Nature Museum Sahimel, and showcases a large number of collections and contents gathered from each venue.
Original drawings and skeleton diagrams of Pokemon and paleontology art will be displayed as well as real specimens, duplicate specimens, and models of paleontology that look similar to Kaseki Pokemon. The exhibit also includes life-size skeletons of Tyrantrum and Bastiodon as if skeleton models of Kaseki Pokemon are exhibited in Pokemon world. A wide variety of official merchandise will be also available including limited-edition excavator Pikachu.
