1. Parfait @Saryo Tsujiri

Established in 1978, Saryo Tsujiri (茶寮都路里) is an authentic tea house from Kyoto. A variety of dish and desserts are served in Saryo Tsujiri, but their best seller is the Matcha Parfait. There are over 10 different parfaits on the menu, but the significant “Suigyoku Parfait” is most recommended to try for a first timer 🙂

Nanaya (ななや) provides “the richest matcha gelato in the world”. The shop is originally from Fijieda City, near Mt.Fuji which are famous for green tea production, and their first branch in Tokyo has opened in Aoyama area in 2016. Nanaya offers 7 types of Matcha flavoured gelato!

3. Fondue @Kagurazaka Saryo

Kagurazaka Saryo (神楽坂 茶寮) is an authentic Japanese cafe, renovated from an old tea house. Saryo offers variety of Matcha desserts and always brings new ideas including this Matcha Fondue blended with white chocolate and rich matcha powder from Kyoto.

4. Tiramisu @Marunouchi Cafe Kai

Matcha flavoured Tiramisu is the sweetest collaboration of Italian and Japanese dessert. Marunouchi Cafe Kai (丸の内 cafe 会) is operated by a big Japanese tea company “Itoen” and a popular coffee chain called Tully’s Coffee. Limited desserts and drinks are served only here!

5. Shaved ice @Shimokita Chaen

Shimokita Chaen (しもきた茶苑大山) is well-known as one of the best shaved ice stores in Tokyo, but when it comes to green tea flavour, they do the best. There are only 13 certificated Japanese Tea sommeliers at the moment and two of them works at this shop!

6. Pancake @Urth Caffe

Pancake has been most popular desserts in past years, and a variety of pancake cafes can be found in Tokyo. Urth Caffe is one of most trendy organic cafes in the town from L.A. Their unique fluffy Matcha pancake is topped with thick and creamy Matcha sauce, and will surely fill your appetite and satisfaction.

Simple yet delicate, Bavarois (Bavarian cream) is the best dessert to feel the true taste of Matcha. Kinozen (紀の善) is an authentic Japanese cafe, serving traditional sweets. Their significant is the Matcha Bavarois. The rich and bitter Bavarois is served with sweet red beans and creamy whipped cream.
