Yutoku Inari Shrine in Saga Prefecture Kyushu is one of the largest Inari shrines in Japan!

Yutoku Inari Shrine is one of the most spectacular historical sites in Japan. Yutoku Inari Shrine is located in Saga Prefecture, Kyushu Region, and it’s considered as one of three most important Inari shrines in Japan!


Yutoku Inari Shrine (祐徳稲荷神社) is a shrine located in Kashima City, Saga Prefecture (Kyushu region). It is one of three most important Inari shrines (Shinto fox deity) in Japan along with Fushimi Inari Shrine in Kyoto and Toyokawa Inari Shrine in Aichi Prefecture. The Shrine welcomes over 2.8 million visitors every year. Built in 1687 as the family shrine of the Nabeshima clan who ruled Hizen area (Saga prefecture now) during Edo period, the shrine has a great hill top main hall after 10 mins climbing the stoned stairs with red torii gates.

The vivid red buildings and the surrounded green forest creates amazing scenery like nowhere else. The shrine site also include a beautiful Japanese garden and a shrine museum. As the shrine has been visited by more foreign visitors recently, foreign language Omikuji (random fortune written on strips of paper) is also available.
